To use OpenAI as the translator for bulk translation in the AI Translation for TranslatePress, you need to generate and add your OpenAI API key inside the plugin settings.
Follow the steps below to create the API key and connect it to your website:
Step 1: Create an OpenAI Account
- Visit the OpenAI website.
- Log in using the API Platform, or sign up if you don’t have an account.
Step 2: Generate Your API Key
- Go to the Dashboard section.
- Open the API Keys page.
- Click Create new secret key.
- Enter all the required details.
- Copy the generated API key and store it in a safe place.
⚠️ Important:
Copy the API key immediately and store it in a secure location, and do not share your API key publicly.
Step 3: Add the API Key
- From your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Settings > AI Translation [TranslatePress] > Settings.
- Scroll down to the Bulk Translation > AI API Keys section.
- Locate the OpenAI field.
- Paste your copied OpenAI API key into this field.
- Click Save Changes to apply the configuration.
Once saved, your website will be ready to use OpenAI for bulk AI-powered translations in TranslatePress.
