Automatically translate your website’s frontend pages using AI whenever visitors browse your site. This feature translates pages on demand into the visitor’s selected language, eliminating the need to manually translate every page beforehand.
Once enabled, the translated content is generated automatically using your selected AI provider and cached for future visitors, making multilingual websites easier to manage.
Enable Automatic Frontend Page Translation
Follow these steps to automate the frontend page translation process:
- From your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to TranslatePress > Settings > AI Translation [TranslatePress].
- Scroll down to the Automatic Frontend Page Translation section.
- Enable Automatic Page Translation: Enable this option to allow AI to automatically translate frontend pages when visitors access them in another language. When disabled, content must be translated using other automatic translation methods (Single page or Bulk Translation).
- Translation Provider: Choose the AI provider that will be used for automatic page translations. Choose from:
- OpenAI
- Gemini AI
- Anthropic Claude
Note: You must configure the corresponding API key before automatic translation can begin.
- Daily Automatic Translation Word Limit: Enable this option to limit how many words are translated automatically each day. Enter the maximum number of words that can be translated each day.
- Log Automatic Page Translation Errors: Enable this option to record failed translation requests. When enabled, the plugin stores translation errors in the wp_trp_machine_translation_log database table.
Now, whenever a visitor opens a page in another language, the page will be translated automatically using the selected AI provider.
